Online Banking FAQ


Our new Online Banking platform is now available. We are confident that this new product will deliver an improved user experience. Below are some frequently asked questions that will help you know what to expect the first time you log on to the new system.

What are the requirements for my User ID?

User IDs must be 4 characters or more in length and contain at least one letter. It cannot contain your account number.

What are the password requirements?

Passwords must be 6 characters or more in length, contain at least one letter and one non-letter. It cannot contain your User ID or your account number.

How many chances do I get to correctly answer my password?

You have 3 chances to correctly answer your password. If you are locked out, you can use the “Account Lockout Reset” or “Forgot User ID/Password” link to reset your password.

How much does Online Banking cost?

Online Banking and Bill Pay are both free services.

Can I use Online Banking on my phone or tablet?

Yes. We offer responsive design, which will adjust to fit the screen of any device you are using.

What do I do if I get locked out or forget my password?

If you lock your access, you can unlock by using the “Account Lockout Reset” or “Forgot User ID/Password” link.  Or, you can call us at (316) 263-6171 during normal business hours for assistance.

Why do I have to answer a security question when logging on to Online Banking?

As security is an ongoing focus and priority for EquiShare Credit Union, we request that after conversion members set up new security questions and answers.

What do I do if I don’t remember my answers or provide the incorrect answers to the security questions and I get locked out of Online Banking?

You will have three chances to provide the correct answer before your account is locked. If you are still locked out, using the “Account Lockout Reset” or “Forgot User ID/Password” link will get you unlocked. You may also call us at (316) 263-6171.

Can I change my security questions and/or answers?

Yes, when you are logged into your account, there is a link to Change Security on the home screen.

Can I set up to receive text or email alerts about my account?

Yes, in Online Account Access, click on the 'Account Setup' icon and select 'e-Alerts'. From here, you can add up to 5 alerts including Daily Balance, Account Balance, Funds Deposited, Funds Withdrawn, Checks Cleared, or even personal reminders. Click on the 'Add an Alert' button to select which type you want. Then click 'Next' to set the details for your alerts - which account you want the alert for, dollar limits for your alert, and method of delivery.

To receive alerts by text, please select "The email address/cell phone indicated below" and type your cell phone number as an email address using the information provided. You will also want to check the box labeled "Send as SMS or Text Message" before clicking the Save button.

Can I make a transfer to another EquiShare member's account on which I am not a joint owner?

Yes, you can! To transfer to another member’s account, click on the Any Account Transfer button.  Complete the transfer by choosing your account suffix & entering the other member’s last name, account number & suffix.

How can I view the Quick History on my accounts?

In the lower left-hand corner of the screen, the Home page shows your Pending Debit and ACH Transactions. Below that is a Quick History of an account of your choosing. Click on the icon that looks like gears just under “Quick History” to choose which account you wish to view. It will default to this account on future logins.

Why does my ‘Current Balance’ not match my ‘Available Balance’ for my checking account?

You currently have items pending to post on your checking account. Please click on the ‘Home’ icon to view ‘Pending Transactions’, located in the bottom left-hand corner.

How do I get set up for the EquiShare Mobile App?

Before you can start using EquiShare’s Mobile App, you will need to complete the following steps:

  • Log in to the new Online Banking software and complete the setup process.
  • After logging onto Online Banking, you will see a Mobile Setup icon in the upper right quarter of the screen.  Click on this icon to activate mobile access for your account.
  • If you have not downloaded the new version of the EquiShare Mobile App since July 18, 2017, you will need to delete the old app from your device and download the new one.
  • Log in to the app using your existing username and password.
